ACT pressure plates are manufactured from new units, not rebuilt from worn out parts. ACT diaphragms are heat-treated using an exclusive 3-stage process. ACT hardens the release bearing contact area to reduce wear. ACT designs each pressure plate in the optimum working range for maximum design.

The ACT clutch for the Evo 8 is available in six flavors. The street disk will be great for most applications but if you are making over 450awhp and do frequent drag racing the 6 puck version is for you as it has already been proven in other 9 second applications.

In addition to the Heavy duty kits for the Evo 8 we have added an Xtreme pressure plate. This pressure plate has been added because of customers needing a stronger clutch beyond what the Heavy duty kits can hold. These kits will fit all versions of the Evo 8 including 5speed/6speed transmissions.
